it!
Nevada has consistently opposed
the Yucca Mountain plan, knowing it is bad for Nevada's entirely
tourist-based economy, bad for the environment, bad for the country.

Other states don't want
it!
Citizens everywhere are wary of the U.S. Government's promises to keep us

Native
Americans (Western Shoshone) don't want it! - and it's Their land!
The Western Shoshone Nation, who
still legally owns the land on which Yucca Mountain sits, has consistently
refused to give up its lands, despite much coercion by the U.S.
Government. Since the plan to build the repository, the Government has
stepped up its efforts, and has offered huge settlements to the Western
Shoshone people, who still refuse to sell out.
Does it seem likely, after all these years of holding on to their land,
that the Western Shoshone will sell their land now, for use as a nuclear
dump? We don't think so.
