The commercial nuclear industry is willing to do virtually anything to get rid of the responsibility for their garbage . . . including trucking it for 30 years within 1/2 mile of 52 million Americans. The nuclear industry says their waste has to go somewhere. Taking it for a ride over 30 years to a site that leaks is not the answer. The plan is to truck waste by existing roads and rails through 43 states, continuously for more than 30 years.
The nuclear industry hasn't bothered to
ask you and your community: Can you be prepared for accidents? Radiation
leakage? Quick containment of radiation everywhere the waste will travel within
your city limits? How would these shipments, and radiation emergency planning,
affect your economy?
